Air conditioning unit not powerful enough

Location was great literally in front of the beach. Rooms were very clean public areas well kept. Menu was small but well prepared.

Menu could have had a few more options being that they are at sea could have had more sea food.

We live in the city and head to the beach whenever we can. This was a long weekend and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The room was clean and comfortable, the location was nice and the on-site restaurant has some good dining options (in particular the signature dish). It's also the only hotel in Guatemala we know of with a working pool bar. Prices are amazing.

With this being a long weekend, towards the second half of Sunday the (large) pool was crowded (they offer day access) and started to change its colour. Also, especially then we would have loft a nice private outdoor seating option for our bedroom as everything was so crowded. So I guess we'll be back, but rather during a normal weekend.

Beds could be more comfortable.

I’d start by saying that the location was unbeatable, and parking was available on-site. This is a beachfront hotel with rooms across the street. There are two pools with tons of space for kids to run around. The ground was well-maintained, and it looked beautiful during the day.

At the time of writing this review, we visited four different cities in Guatemala and stayed at other 3 and 4 stars hotels. This one stood out as overpriced, given the state of the room. The room size was decent (1 double bed and one single bed even though there were just 2 of us) and came with an AC (which was needed given the temp was 89F at night). But it was a very basic room - no beach towel, only one face towel for two people. No TV (not a big deal) and not many power plugs. The bathroom felt dirty, and I work up to a dead roach in the shower. No hot water, and the floor/tiles looked like they haven’t been scrubbed in a long time. Not to mention all the bugs that came through the windows. Luckily we were only here for one night. Look elsewhere if you have a more extended stay.
