On arrival the hotel was bright and modern looking. We were greeted and all of the staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast selection was wonderful Great hotel

I had picked the hotel as a luxury last night in Skiathos. There were no sunloungers available and the mad rush at dawn to reserve them with a towel whilst noone was going to use them until after lunch is disappointing. Restaurant had limited set menu and would have preferred to have had the option of more selection for evening meal

Clean, welcoming and a great location

The view from the restaurant was beautiful, the breakfast has plenty to chose from and really good standard. The staff are really pleasant and the location is spot on. Close to bus stop 0, walk to the airport runway to see the planes land and take off, short walk to port to get the water taxis. Close to Bars/shops/restaurant.

Our room was inland view, it was fine but I think the sea view are better. The pool area is small, we knew that from reviews and were more beach people anyway but it lacked a bit of atmosphere and sun beds were reserved. The terrace for breakfast would make a great bar area for the evening too!

The price was very high. The shower enclosure needed a good descale and bleach especially the lower half

Everything was great! The hotel was clean and beautiful. Staff was always very friendly and helpful and the location was the best. It was close to cafe and restaurants-walking distance.

Fantastic location, helpful staff, lovely room & excellent breakfast

The pool area was small & crowded & had a limited number of loungers. Everywhere we have stayed has provided a bottle of water in the fridge on arrival, a small thing that we missed.

Alkyon is perfectly positioned at sea level within easy walking distance of the restaurants etc in Skiathos. We had a lift from the airport (€25). Reception staff were very helpful.

Despite having a request for early check in approved on Booking.com we didn’t get into our room until 4:50, nearly 2 hours after the official check in time. They were really short of cleaners. What annoyed me about this is that we arrived at 1:30pm and were told the room wasn’t ready but weren’t given a realistic time to get into the room (we kept being told ‘just another 20 mins’). We had been up since 3:30am, were feeling extremely tired/headachy and waited in reception thinking it wouldn’t be long. The beds were very firm and breakfast was pretty average. We paid nearly double the rate of a private rental for a hotel room but I don’t feel we received value for money.

Breakfast was unbelievable, the views were to die for!! The staff is THE BEST! You get a free bottle of wine and a mixed drink upon arrival. A bunch of recommendations to local areas, and the largest spread of food I have ever seen. The room was so nice we still can't believe it!

Its price did not correlate with what we got. The bathroom was old and dirty. The AC stinked. Beds were not comfortable. Breakfast was okay, but nothing special.
