Absolutely nothing

I was checked in to a room which had cigarette buds on the carpet and in the ash tray the bedsheet had all sorts of stains. The room was not cleaned at all and stunk of smoke, I had to pickup the buds and keep the used ashtray out of the room. I informed the staff twice (two different individuals that I’d like to get late check out at 6pm they both said that was completely fine after checking the bookings, however did not communicate any extra charge. I had booked two rooms however once, it had passed the usual check out time they call me up and ask for a full day payment for both rooms. I communicated to them that I was not made aware of this payment when informed twice to two individuals at the reception, and if they had told me of the charge I would have given up one room and just kept one. But then they said that I have now been using the second room and that I should pay. When asked how much she said 1,500 when inquired as to how she had arrived at that figure she said that it was the half rate for both rooms. I said I am unable to do that as had they informed me I would have given up the second room, and that I’m willing to give it up immediately if they were going to charge. However thereafter she spoke to someone on the phone and then she say that I should pay 2500. Which is apparently the full amount for both rooms. It made no sense, there after I said I will not be paying for the second room as I really didn’t need it and that I will pay half rate for the other room. Then the receptionist was so petty that they wanted the key immediately and accompanied me to the room to get the key while I had to clean out the room while the boy was there. And there after called me at 5:50pm asking if I was leaving. The behaviour of the staff was appalling, especially considering it was their fault for not communicating a charge. Mind even on on booking.com there is no mention of a charge.

The staff was pretty helpful and we got complimentary water bottles. The AC worked perfectly.

We had to pay a 500 INR/person extra tax for being foreigners, which was not communicated to us beforehand! The sheets had holes in them and the shower sprayed water all around the bathroom. There was half of a condom packing on the floor near the bed.
