Gerindem Cottages

WE TOTALLY LOVED THE STAY AT GERINDEM! The best stay in all Bali for us. This trip overall has been a big step out of our comfort zone, and finally in Gerindem after all the places and accomodations we've been in Bali, we loved this the most out of all of them. Staff very welcoming, always smiling and here to help, when we needed they cleaned our room, THE POOL was totally awesome, it is certainly a piece of paradise in Ubud. We had to move out of Ubud today to somewhere else since our tip is continuing, and we want to also see other places, but we miss it so much. I already thought about coming back to Ubud to Gerindem and travelling to other places from there.

Own terrace, nice pool area. Location is good. Got a good discount on price at booking.com otherwise this wouldve been too expensive.

Breakfast was not good in my opinion. Room cleaning was not automatic, caused trash to pile up.

The staff, the pool; the room was nice, but a little dark - not a lot of natural daylight. But everything seemed very clean and well presented. powerful AC!

When I arrived there was a powercut. I was only staying for one night, in order to use a pool; which I did do, but since there was no power and wifi (and I work online) I actually ended up sleeping elsewhere.

Clean, good air-con and great value for money

Stayed here because it was walking distance into town, but the route is difficult to walk due to it being a busy road and no street lighting etc. We got a taxi back which was less than $5

The room was spacious with a nice terrace. The pool was fresh and had a nice view with some greenery. The service was great overall

Unless you like the smell of pee and damp please don’t stay here:

- Few minutes away from Ubud center. - Help for the laundry service - Quiet

- The breakfast wasn’t included, so we had to pay every day by cash and extra fees were added for my young son as the price was only including “two people” if I got it right, it wasn’t clear at all. - The breakfast area was dirty, there was a lot of dust and stains on the sofas and chair cushions. The table sets were always greasy and the tables were barely cleaned. - The shower water drainage system was blocked for few days, we had to notify the receptionist to clean it, as it seems that he was not surprised by the request. - The price I paid for the stay didn’t worth it to be honest, don’t get tricked by the pictures of the swimming pool which isn’t heated, if you’re lucky the temperature will be good enough in the afternoon if it’s sunny, but the swimming pool is situated at the back and surrounded by many plants so it will be cold on the morning and late afternoon despite the hot weather.
