The Saratoga

Новий ремонт в кінатах, дуже зручні ліжка, гарний ірландський паб внизу та чудовий пляж поруч.

Такого досвіду в нас ще не було) Після закриття бару, десь о 22-й, ми були одні в готелі, двері якого ніяк не зачинялись і були відкриті всю ніч). Окрім того - про нас забули вранці понеділку - нема кому було підготувати нам сніданок )). Коли ми змогли додзвонитись до представника готелю (лише біля 10.00) нам запропонували переїхати на авто в сусідній готель і там отримати сніданок. Ми вже не мали часу на це. Єдино що нам вдалось отримати як компенсацію - знижку в 30 евро на 3-х... Нажаль, ми не змогли ніде поснідати потім за ці гроші ))). Ще одна проблема - бар на 1-му поверсі. Він працював до 22-23 (ми були готові до цього), але те, шо, в 20.00 ми не змогли в ньому отримати вечерю (кухня вже зачинилась) стало неприємним сюрпризом для нас - в пішій доступності не було ні магазинів ні інших ресторанів... Ну і проблема номера. Нам обцяли "вид на море", але з рахунок того, що внизу був встановлений шатер - море ми бачили всього 5-10% від розміру нашого вікна :) Це не те, на що ми сподівались...

The room was clean had a great view of the ocean and mostly helpful staff. There was also a restaurant down below, which was great.

The room was very warm. There were no fans or air conditioning. The bathroom was designed with no door to the bathroom. So when someone was using the toilet somebody else in the room could see them going to the restroom. The cigarette smoke from the smoking section from the restaurant down below went into the room till about 3am. The staff and owners are kind helpful and they reported they would help my elderly parents with their luggage down the stairs in the morning however nobody was available in the morning when they were leaving around 8 AM. Some sort of elevator would’ve been helpful to bring the luggage and elderly people and people who have knee problems get to the accommodation that was up two flights of stairs. it seems that the accommodation was fairly new and still needs some fine-tuning

I was at the Wexford Fleadh, and was looking for somewhere to stay half way to Cork , Waterford seemed full and the Saratoga turned out a perfect stay, as I had not planned to stay out of Waterford. I don't have a car ,but transport links in the day time are Ok... The staff where brilliant at putting me on the right track Sunday morning , to continue my journey back into Wexford I recommend the Saratoga for a pleasant stay

It was an incredible location on the water.

Property was acquired by a new owner just the week before our stay. Obviously bags of potential if the ambition is to achieve the standard of the sister hotel in Dunmore East. One definitely to watch out for. Current food offering is good, lively bar and excellent staff and service.

Booked breakfast but were told on arrival that there was no breakfast due to the change in ownership. While we got a cash reduction, a voucher for breakfast at its sister hotel would have been a nice gesture.

Room wasn’t clean. Shower waste was blocked. No remote for tv. No shower gel. Dirty cups. No staff on site.
