Breakfast was good and the location as well. Sitting besides the lake and having breakfast was a treat

I recently stayed at your heritage property, and while I was initially drawn in by the location, charm, and aesthetic, the overall experience was quite underwhelming — to say the least. To start with, the inconsistency in communication was frustrating. I was informed by the staff that I could bring my car directly to the property, only to discover upon arrival that it wasn't possible due to the narrow roads. I had to park my vehicle at a distance and pay Rs. 200 per day — something I should have been clearly told upfront. Reaching the reception was another challenge. There were no phones in the room, and when I tried calling from my mobile, no one responded. I had to make multiple calls just to get basic concerns addressed — which, frankly, shouldn’t be the case at a property of this standard. One of the most disappointing parts of the stay was the lack of warm water. I had to keep the tap running for nearly half an hour just to get lukewarm water, and even that didn’t last. This is simply unacceptable. To top it off, I had requested a cake for my wedding anniversary — a small gesture that I was assured would be arranged. It never happened. For such a special occasion, that lack of follow-through was deeply disappointing. The Wi-Fi was barely usable, which added to the growing list of inconveniences. For the amount I paid, I expected a seamless experience with attention to detail. Instead, what I got felt careless and uncoordinated. The property may have heritage appeal, but that alone isn’t enough to justify the cost when the basics are so poorly handled. Adding to all this, I was surprised to learn about the Rs. 2,000 per head cover charge for dinner by the lake — even for in-house guests. That amount feels exorbitant, and it left a sour impression. It’s disheartening when guests who are already paying a premium for their stay are met with such steep additional charges for experiences that should feel welcoming, not transactional.

The property was palatial, including the rooms and the gardens. The service was consistently outstanding!

La ubicación. Las instalaciones preciosas, el restaurante y el desayuno de primer nivel. La vista de las habitaciones al lago es inolvidable.

Algunos problemas de energía.

Nos tocó una habitación con vistas al lago muy bonitas. Instalaciones muy limpias, sobre todo el baño que también era muy grande. De los mejores hoteles que hemos estado en la India. El restaurante del hotel está muy bien también, tanto para desayunar como para cenar. Se puede llegar a la puerta del hotel en taxi.
