The owner is a very kind man who loves the jungle. He is very helpful. Rooms were basic with good fans. Be careful of cheeky monkeys!

Music from a bar across the river, and live music nearby one night destroyed the magic of the place.

Cean bungalows. Although there is nearly no furniture except for bed, there is a fan and private bathroom with cold water. Nice terrace outside. Extremely friendly and helpful staff who cared for transportation from Medan and to Toba Lake. Cold beer and good breafkast directly on the spot. Recommended!

"Perfect and quiet place to stay in Bukit Lawang"

10.0

We really loved staying here. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. We enjoyed the hammock a lot! Also the family owning the property was very nice. They even brought one of us to the doctor when we got sick. Also the food at their restaurant was great! We’d definitely stay here again!

It would have been great to have AC, especially when we got sick. But we booked knowing that, so that’s fine.

The rooms were simple but charming, set around a pretty garden. No hot water but a cool water shower was very refreshing. The family were really friendly and couldn’t have been more helpful. They arranged a trip into the rainforest where we saw orangutans , and to a nearby village to see tofu and tempeh making businesses. The location was perfect, on the quiet side of the river close to restaurants and shops and a short walk to the National Park entrance. The restaurant was overlooking the river and served a delicious breakfast and evening meal.

"Absolutely amazing"

We stayed here for the second time. Very welcoming family that is always smiling and happy to help. Good choices for breakfast and they serve dinner as well. Love the terrace with the hammock

The soft mattress isn't our choice but other people might like that.

"Ideal spot by the river to relax pre and post jungle trek"

10.0

Nice big room, balcony with hammock, restaurant and bar area overlooking the river on the side of the village that has no motorbikes; one minute walk from the rickety bridge. Lovely friendly helpful people in the family that own the place. No problem storing luggage during trek and doing laundry on return. Happy days, thanks a lot team Sahnan.

"Great stay"

9.0

It's a cute "bungalow" room. The staff was nice. The breakfast included is mostly "western style" and when for me it was very small, they happily brought some bread, which I thought was thoughtful. They let me store my baggage and even my wet laundry for my return from the jungle.

It's the most I paid for a room in Indonesia, and there's also cheaper places around in town. I'm not sure the high price is justified, as the room is nice but not very special or having like AC or hot water etc.
