Hotel Mount View, Siliguri

It was very cheap and very close to the station.

The hotel kind of looks like the photos, but it's very tired and under the surface very dirty. I couldn't face breakfast as the kitchen and dining room were filthy. Rooms stank of smoke (ashtrays in every room), but the staff were helpful in switching my room when I complained that the smell was too bad. General air of disrepair...lift dire, walls badly stained, one room looked like a building site on our floor, etc. Dodgy location...very scruffy

Staffs were very welcoming and helpful. Hotel is located in prime location of Siliguri. Room was so spacious and neat and tidy. Cleaning staffs do great job in managing the room. Eventhough old lift, it was properly maintained. Geaser was very functional.

AC which acted like cooler, 32 degrees or 20 degrees! No difference. Water from the tap/shower were bit muddy or lets say dirty. It would be better if they could give two 1liter bottles of water instead of a bottle only. A white light would also be better along with yellowish light in the room. Beds sound old, especially fatigued springs. This can be good thing for many but not for me-food menu in the room has only veg options, I prefer non-veg.
