I loved everything about La Villa. We arrived early in the morning, well before check-in, and we were greeted with a warm welcome. Staff could not be more gracious. Breakfast everday was lovely. The ambiance of the seating area is magical. Room is spacious as well as the bathroom and all is decorated tastefully. Bed is comfortable. Location is perfect.

My only regret is that we couldn't stay longer!

Great location and personnel. The hotel and room were exceptionally beautiful, comfortable and clean. A tat expensive but worth it.

Dinner was lovely and breakfasts and snacks were good.

Pretentious without merit. Claims to have a French ambience but really just rather decrepit. Most of the staff were lovely. Sadly, we were here for three not one night. Our original room, North side, was shocking, horribly small with child size furniture so low it couldn't be used, and a balcony that only accommodated one person. Plus the noise from the street especially all night was horrendous. Waking to the view of suitcases a metre from my nose on the concrete rack was definitely not romantic or beautiful. Shower curtains around part of balcony. Photos show how disappointing this room is and umbrella proves sizes. Thankfully we’renot TV watchers. After complaining we moved, to a somewhat better ground floor room, Ecole. The street noise was less but counterbalanced by loud restaurant noise until 11 pm. More room and at least seating for two, although somewhat low. Owned by the same people as Villa Shanti next door and the manager overseeing the two properties is extremely unpleasant. He sneers and refuses to listen or act, essentially a ‘couldn't be bothered’ individual. Whilst they refunded a small amount of money for the down graded room, our experience totally tarnished what should have been a lovely few days in Pondy.
