Gorgona

We had a wonderful stay at Gorgona. The owner is an incredibly kind and welcoming man who always greeted us with a smile and made us feel truly at home. The housekeeping staff were also very friendly, cheerful and hardworking. The location is perfect with breathtaking views of the sea and Mylopotas Beach. The terrace is absolutely lovely, a perfect place to relax and enjoy the scenery. The room and bathroom were very clean and everything was well maintained. The atmosphere was cozy, peaceful and welcoming throughout our stay.

The only small downside was that there was some noise from Farout. However, the music stopped fairly early and it didn’t disturb us too much. Since Ios is a popular destination for young travelers it’s also worth being a little extra careful when driving at night as there can be groups of young people walking along the road after parties.

If you are looking for a sterile, corporate resort, look elsewhere, but if you want a slice of genuine paradise bursting with charm, this beachside hotel is absolute perfection. You cannot get any closer to the ocean without sleeping in a boat, and stepping directly from your cozy, character-filled room onto the sand each morning was a dream. What truly makes this place unforgettable, however, is the owner—the most loving, wonderful older gentleman who pours his entire heart into the property and treats every guest like family. It felt less like a standard hotel stay and more like visiting a dear friend's private beach cottage; we left with a tan, a relaxed mind, and a plan to return as soon as humanly possible!

All of it was perfect, rooms, food, hopsitality. There were bugs obviously but its Greece and youre near the wilderness lol.

Eine großartige Unterkunft mit Top-Lage am Ende des großen Strandes. Sehr, sehr freundliche Gastgeber, tägliche Reinigung des Appartements. Kleines aber feines Frühstücksbuffet mit Produkten von der Insel. Jederzeit wieder!

Wenn man einen Minus-Punkt finden will, dann die Open Air-Disco in der Nähe, die die Bässe am Wochenende ordentlich wummern lässt. Aber um Mitternacht war Ruhe und, hey, es ist Ios. Wer durchgehend Ruhe will, muss in den Harz 😉

Un rêve éveillé. L’hotel parfait pour vivre des vacances au calme et dans un cadre idyllique. Les chambres sont adorables et bien agencées. Les hôtes Margarita et Dimitri sont adorables. Le petit déjeuner se compose de produits locaux choisis avec soin, un vrai plaisir. De plus l’arrêt de bus est juste en face de l’hôtel ce qui permet de relier facilement Chora en quelques minutes

Great location by the beach and by the best restaurant this side of the island. The room was also spacious, clean and A/C worked well.

Limited breakfast options. The balcony door couldn’t be left open, as the wind was blowing them shut. Also, the hotel is close to the busiest beach bars in Ios, which means music until very late.
