The Rani Mahal

The style of the property is quite unique, the rooms spacious, the bed is the most comfortable we have had in India so far. The staff are warm, friendly and helpful. Great view of the fort from the rooftop, and only 5 minutes walk to the fort. The ticket office is another 10 minutes walk, but you’re inside the fort walls. I had to work some hours and the WiFi was fine.

Best hotel in India! The staff is great, very helpful and perfectly speaks English. They arranged everything we needed, with tuk tuk always on time. The room is big and beautiful, the bathroom not so much but everything is clean.

The kindness and support of all the staff. And the location was great.

Laundry service. One of the trousers we asked to wash was returned damaged. As it was an expensive and almost new trouser, the hotel made us negotiating a reimbursement directly with their laundry supplier while we expected them to handle it directly. As a result, we got a reimbursement of less than half of the value of the trouser.

Wonderful hotel, very cozy, and in a great central location in the Old City. I loved eating breakfast on the roof, and Delpat the waiter was so warm and welcoming! The owner too was very present and helpful. I loved opening the windows in my room and watching the street life.

There was mouse poo on my bed but they promptly changed the sheets.

Wonderful little hotel in the middle of old city, 10 minutes walk either to museum or to the market, surrounded with beautiful labyrinths of tiny little streets, ready to explore. Family owned and operated, beautiful rustic style, contemporary facilities, beautifully decorated rooms, full of art — everything has a little extra touch to it, so it feels like home. The food is great and a rooftop view is gorgeous —adding to the experience. The owner is the most friendly woman who will help you with whatever fancy request you might have. Book with confidence!

I am so grateful that my introduction to traveling to India on my own was staying at the Rani Mahal for my first few nights. I am incredibly fortunate - it was a thoroughly wonderful experience. I cannot thank Nisha, Sharwan, Devi, and the rest of the team for making my stay memorable. My room was comfortable, great size, and traditionally and ornately furnished. The guesthouse is warm and welcoming and has a treat around every corner. The rooftop is fantastic; the views are incredible (I can't imagine there would be a better view at any other Guesthouse), the food delicious, and the beer very cold. Nisha arranged a walking tour of Jodhpur with a local guide which was one of the standout experiences of my short trip to India. I thoroughly recommend and will certainly return. Thank you, Nisha and team.

The Wifi is not great, but not a problem if you have roaming/tourist data.

Location was perfect in the heart of historical Jodhpur. Walking distance to the main points of interest including the tower clock market. Also amazing view of the fort from the beautiful roof terrasse. The rooms are all big and immaculate . The design is beautiful . It is an old palace of carved red sandstone beautifully renovated and owned and managed by the same family for the last 7 years. The staff is extremenlly attentive to your needs and the food deliciously cooked . A home away from home
