Grand Cliff Ella

The stunning view, friendly staff, delicious food, and great family room. The view is heavenly. And Ella is a great place to explore. Highly recommend!

We arrived in the evening and Nuwan was waiting for us with a warm welcome :) After a 7 hour train journey, this was very much appreciated. As it is dark when we arrived we couldn’t see the view from the hotel until we woke up in the morning and we were blown away. We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful view! Nuwan help us to ensure our stay in Ella was amazing, cooking us a beautiful breakfast in the morning, and arranging transport to local waterfalls and the town and Nine Arch. Thank you for everything. We look forward to visiting you again in the future :)

The place is amazing. If you are visiting Ella this is the place for you. The staff was amazing and helped us white everything. Great BIG breakfast. The location is good just 15 minutes walk from the Centre The rooms are great and exceptionally clean, the beds very comfortable and the view was breathtaking. This is the best deal you can get real enjoyment.

One of the best places we stayed in during our Sri Lanka trip. It is definitely worth it! The view is breathtaking, WOW! The staff was so helpful and nice, very friendly, and always happy to assist you with anything you may need. Their breakfast was amazing, very rich, tasty, and diverse. If you’re visiting Ella, I strongly recommend you stay there!

The view and the balcony were amazing! We ate breakfast there, it was really delicious. The beds are comfortable and big. The host is very nice and helpful. We recommend to anyone who likes to have a relaxing holiday.

We stayed a night in a triple room and would recommend it to anyone that’s looking for somewhere to stay in Ella. Great location, set back in a little quiet area but still close to the centre of Ella (10 minutes walk). The room was clean and the bed was very comfy. Breakfast was absolutely delicious with super generous portions! Most of all were so welcoming and gave us advice and tips on where to eat, what to see etc. whilst we were in Ella and helped to organize transportation to our next destination. We rented a van from Nuwan and would recommend this if you want more flexibility or wish to explore a little further afield such as Diyaluma Falls (which you can swim in!). Definitely consider Dewy Arena Hotel, if you’re looking for accommodation in Ella.

Clean large room with a balcony. Kasun made large delicious breakfasts. There was a misunderstanding over the price listed on Booking but Nuwan made it up to me with a free ride from town on New Year's Eve and invited me to share more beer with them at the hotel. Room even has a TV and if you search long enough you'll find an English speaking station

The Sri Lankan heaters in the shower can be confusing to set properly. Just make sure to check with the staff. They are happy to explain.
