Sprise Munnar Resort and Spa

Rooms were clean and spacious enough to walk around. Staffs were courteous and helpful. They assisted us to around the Munnar city.

We stayed in the top floor . Top floors have two bedrooms.Hence the balcony provided is a shared space between the two rooms .

Location, facilities, staff were excellent.

The swimming pool was not kept clean and towels were not readily available.

Buffet dinner

Breakfast variety and cleanliness. Very poorly maintained. It doesn’t look like a year old resort. The rooms and toilets were dirty and poorly maintained. Pictures does not do justice at all.

The hotel was perched on a high ridge, we had beautiful views of the mountains and reservoirs from our balcony. The sunrises were spectacular. The hotel is only a few kilometres from Munnar to the north and superb rivers, waterfalls and reservoirs to the south. Great central position for sight seeing in this area. Bedroom was reasonable size but had an adjoining lounge making it much larger.

Although the food was all good, the main restaurant was not open when we visited, and dining was in the breakfast bar, which was not as comfortable as the main restaurant.

New Property and clean. Small Boutique type property, give you a feel of European villas.

Very bad managed by Dinning and in general. Less people for the entire property. Items on Menu not there, very cold food/bad service/too much delays in food service.

This property is good but definitely not 5 star, far from it actually. The room is nice but I was quite surprised that the common living space would need to be shared with others if both rooms within the space are booked. Luckily we did not need to share but it’s a weird layout. I think the place was meant to be apartments and they made it a hotel. The restaurant needs serious improvement. Breakfast is poor! It is far from 5 star. Breakfast is more like a vegetarian breakfast, on day 1 eggs was the only thing non-veg. Day 2 the only thing non veg was chicken sausage. The staff also fail to replenish whatever is finishing, they stand around doing nothing so your table just ends up being full of crockery because they don’t remove as you eat. Dinner food was good but again staff are not attentive. They got our entire order wrong! We still took it as we were hungry.
