The property or room we got was next to the beach

They had offered us a small room on 2nd floor. Its the worst room no space at all

The location is ideal - away from the business of the rest of Mandrem and the surrounding area. The staff were very welcoming. The food in the restaurant is excellent and very good value. As a solo traveller, I felt very safe and welcome. For the price this place is great.

Was a bit upset with room as it was not what was shown when booking. Spoke with Kevin and he was going to move us. over all it was a relaxing stay.many thanks to Kevin and bar staff

The location is great right on the beach.

The man at the reception is quite unfriendly. The rooms are overpriced for what they are. The cottages are in the back of the kitchen and therefore very loud until late in the evening. The AC remote didn’t work properly and the light of the display therefore lit up the entire room all night. Very unpleasant. At the restaurant I was handed a torn apart menu. In general the vibe is not very positive or inviting.

Our experience at Woodpegger by the Beach was very disappointing for several reasons: 1) After a long 10-hour journey with children, we were placed on the ground floor in a tiny room with a terrible sewage smell. They claimed we booked this, but promised a move to better rooms.We checked our booking and of course we couldn't book.rooms on groundfloor. The rooms we intended to stay in were occupied by other guests who extended their stay. In general, all the photos on booking don't show the reality of the rooms and view. 2) Service was extremely slow in both housekeeping and the restaurant. Orders were mixed up. If they arrived to clean while we were in the room, they would start cleaning regardless. We waited 1.5 hours for dinner, and breakfast was limited to spicy Indian dishes. Requests for items like an omelet were ignored, and tea or coffee was often forgotten. We ended up eating at Riverside restaurant nearby, which I recommend. Despite the efforts of a manager named Assis, overall service was poor. 3) New Year’s Eve was the worst experience. The owner seemed to host a private party, and my requests to prepare a traditional salad were ignored. I had to rely on a Thai restaurant for help. Music blared until 8 AM despite requests to lower it. The owner's response was to clean our room well and ask if we liked the cleaning next day. What a strange guy! I didn't sleep the whole night! It was very frustrating. Their part of the beach they don't clean even.

I really enjoyed the beach side and chillout vibe of the Hotel. Good breakfast and really nice stuff, they take care of the plants well. Super nice stuff :)

There could be a better room available with hangs and to held the drying stuff - maybe.
