Woodpegger By The Beach, Mandrem

The property is right on the beach. We did not eat at the restaurant it is also right in the beach and there was a breakfast buffet. Air conditioning worked and the room was clean with clean towels and toiletries. Working kettle to make coffee in the morning. The staff was friendly and helpful with knowledge of the area and loaned us a tool when our bike broke.

The facilities were adequate, clean beds, and bathrooms.Selective upgrades to the rooms amenities made it functional and comfortable too. The area was well lit and by the sea. Service was prompt and adequate. Almost no mosquitos. The view is very nice, whiteish sand, some fishermen, beach enthusiasts etc. The hotel has a little seaside restaurant with the normal items. Plenty of options nearby. The Raddison has a property next to it.

Plenty of powercuts in the area, which is telling, of the disproportionate saturation of hoteliers, compared to the locals.. A vehicle is required to see anything other than the beach. No major issues.

Such a vibe, the cottage was so cute and clean and comfy bed, exactly what we needed to decompress in India. The location is so perfect, at the end of the street so it’s super quiet, and right on the beach with not as many people as farther north

The restaurant is right next to the cottages which was pretty loud until about midnight, and one of the restaurant workers had his pit bull tied up in the restaurant barking so much

It is at the Beach, but it is dirty down there, and their beach shower doesn‘t work.

Worst room ever! Search on YouTube for „Woodpegger Mandrem - Seaview wooden cabin with balcony“. I am not joning, it was disgisting, respectless, absolutely rip off proce for such a low standard. The bathroom was cheap and disgusting . The room was extremely cheap and dirty, 100 flies laying around in every edge of the floor. The doors and the windows don’t close, really. The floor has cracks where animals can come in, sizes like frogs and lizards and crickets can come in the room whenever they want. At 7 pm, without having any window or door opened, there came in 100 flies swirling around the lamp, we had to leave. We just arrived two hours before, I told the reception I want to leave the resort completely and my money back, which was refused by the management, not one excuse from the management, they left the Reception without any help. just was the logic and wrong answer, cancellation is not possible after check in, which has absolutely nothing to do with our reason to leave again . It costs around €100 per night and is absolutely not worth even the half in highest season on Christmas. The couple which had the room beside us just said the same, but they stay because they paid already. I suggest, go somewhere else, like the radi isn’t just beside you will get four times to standard, and then you just walk down to the beach whenever you want, I do not joke with the four times standard.

It's a good location and it was well air-conditioned. I know that the breakfast is good also.

It wasn't clean. The floor in the bedroom had footmarks all over the floor. The bathroom was smelly like wet dog, and I didn't want to step on it with my bare feet so showered with flip flops on. Although both towels and bedding smelled clean they looked worse for ware. I understand that replacing isn't very sustainable, but Maybe deeper cleaning is needed so that you don't see smears of the past. The aircon was working but you couldn't change the settings or the temperature, so the cold air was blasting on me when I was trying to sleep and I was worried I would get a cold. Thankfully I only had to stay for one night.

Everything was great. Staff are lovely also.
