Hotel The Grand Chittor, Chittorgarh

We stayed only for one night and everything was okay.

The shower area is slippery and it was bit scary to take the shower. We didn't expected this from the newly built and 4 star property.

Location and cleanliness

The bed were spring mattress and were not that comfortable to sleep on. The milk ordered for toddler had water mixed into it.

The breakfast options were very limited for what you pay to stay at the hotel...needs to look into offering a continental breakfast.

The Hotel Grand is a reasonably new, clean, modern hotel. From the research I did, It seems to be the best accommodations money can buy in Chittorgarh. Our rooms had balconies you could sit on with views overlooking the river and up towards the fort. The restaurant is on the rooftop with commanding views of the city and the fort.

Although the Grand is probably the most western tourist-friendly hotel in Chittorgarh, it, along with the town itself, was clearly not accustom to catering to foreign tourist. The staff was a bit stand-offish and did not speak much English. Alcohol was not served at the property and there was some awkwardness just trying to borrow a bottle opener so we could enjoy a couple of beers we had bought elsewhere and hoped to enjoy in our room.
