Here’s exactly what happened: 1. False Pricing & Scam at Check-in I booked this hotel through Booking.com, primarily because it was close to the airport, and I needed a few hours of rest between my international and domestic flights. My booking included AC and breakfast, and I had a confirmed price. However, upon arrival, the receptionist (a young guy, around 22 years old) bluntly told me that the price I booked at was a "glitch" and demanded more money. After a heated argument, he reluctantly agreed to honor the Booking.com price but forced me to pay in cash instead of online. This itself seemed shady. 2. Disgusting Room – Lizard on Bed & Horrible Smell The real horror began when I entered the first room (on the first floor). To my shock, there was a huge lizard lying on the bed, and the entire room had a terrible stench. It was so filthy that I couldn’t even stay for 15 minutes. Furious, I went back to the reception and demanded another room. 3. Given Another Room – No AC & Hanging Wires The receptionist initially refused, saying no rooms were available. But when I demanded a refund, he suddenly "found" another room (Room 405 on the ground floor). While this room didn’t stink, the AC was unplugged, and exposed wires were hanging from it. When I questioned him, he admitted that this room had NO AC, even though my booking clearly mentioned an air-conditioned room. I booked an AC room specifically because Chennai is extremely humid, and I’m from Bangalore, where the climate is much cooler. 4. Zero Customer Support – OYO & Hotel Blame Each Other I immediately asked for a cancellation and refund, but the receptionist refused and told me to "call OYO customer care" instead.

Room with No AC & Exposed Wires The receptionist initially refused to provide another room but eventually “found” one on the ground floor. This room had no AC (despite my booking), and there were exposed, hanging wires. When questioned, the receptionist admitted that the room wasn’t even equipped with AC. Horrible Customer Service – OYO & Hotel Blame Each Other I asked for a cancellation and refund, but the receptionist directed me to call OYO customer service. After a long wait and being transferred multiple times, OYO told me they could only refund 50% of the amount since I paid in cash. The receptionist refused to speak with OYO, leaving me frustrated and exhausted. Final Verdict: Avoid at All Costs! This place is a scam with: Dishonest staff trying to overcharge guests Unhygienic rooms with lizards and foul smells No proper AC despite confirmed bookings Zero customer support from both the hotel and OYO If you're looking for a place to rest before your flight, this is not the hotel for you. I ended up spending hours at the airport food court instead, which was a far better experience.
