Pestana Alvor South Beach Premium Suite Hotel

L'hôtel est situé dans un endroit calme en retrait de la ville et il est directement face à la plage. Son design est récent et attrayant et le personnel y est très sympathique et courtois. Le déjeuner y est très varié et appétissant, malgré le fait que les éléments chaud pourraient y être gardés plus chauds. Les chambres offrent un confort assez intéressant et elle ont toutes des vues sur l'espace piscine ou la plage.

Les lits ne sont tous simplement pas à la hauteur de la qualité de l'établissement. Ils sont durs et ils sont pourvus d'une mince couche de plastique imperméable qui les rends encore plus inconfortables. L'eau des piscines était également très froide, ce qui n'incitait pas vraiment à la baignade. Le restaurant de l'hôtel situé au bord de la plage est également un point faible en ce qui a trait au rapport qualité-prix. Pour plus de choix de restaurants, il faut marcher de 800m à 1,2km.

Alles einfach wunderbar

The hotel is new(ish) and is kept spotlessly clean by a team of housekeepers who appear to be working from morning to night. Location wise, it is at best a 20 minute walk into Alvor. It is right on the beachfront which would have been great if the weather conditions had allowed us to venture onto the beach, which it did not. Other than that this and other hotels surrounding it are pretty much isolated.

Beds are solid, most uncomfortable week I have ever spent in a hotel. Breakfast, if you are used to British fare, is poor. If you like continental style then it’s okay. I stuck with tea and toast. On one evening, having returned from dinner in Alvor, I stopped at the bar for a drink, only to be informed that the hotel had run out of beer! No draught on tap and only a few bottles of zero alcohol lager. The bar area itself is rather bleak and soulless, the pool area much the same.

Fantastic experience from check in to check out. Location was perfect, close to the old down, beaches all fabulous. Hotel spotlessly clean and a very relaxed atmosphere. We will definitely rebook soon. Had a Seaview room, and what a view it was. Breakfast choice was huge and bd very tasty. You will not be disappointed if you stay here.

De locatie is niet zo mooi. Je hebt veel hoogbouw en je auto nodig om rond te reizen, want in Alvor is het niet zo top. Niet ideaal in het voorjaar, eerder als locatie in de zomer. De koffie was niet lekker. Ontbijt is basic.

Just back from a few nights at the South Beach and thoroughly enjoyed our little getaway without the children! We stayed in the Deluxe Suite Sea View Room and it was fab, really lovely and peaceful. Could hear the waves. Hotel was spotless, cleaners constantly working hard. Staff were very attentive and friendly as well. Breakfast was really nice and waiting staff were v friendly. Great location on the beach and 10-15 min walk back to the village. We’ve been coming to Alvor for many years so knew the quickest routes. Just come out reception, cut across apartments in front and across the main road, walk up side of Dunas and then just up one of the small hills and you’ll be there. Pool areas is really lovely! We also had a late check out which was so good of the hotel. They also minded our luggage as we went for a lunch before our taxi collected us. We will def be back! Thank you!!
