CHILL VILLE, VIEW POINT HOTEL

We loved this little hotel away from the hustle & bustle of Ella. The views are beautiful and it’s a very peaceful setting. The staff were so friendly. We ate in one night and had the incredible Sri Lankan curry, a feast!

Beautiful location up in the hills, slightly outside the business of Ella centre. Rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable with all amenities. Staff were incredible. The perfect place to stay in the area. We had our 1 year old with us who was very comfortable there, the cot provided was lovely and the staff were amazing with her. Can’t wait to stay again!

Beautiful hilly location. Quite serene. Was a calm space away from the town. The tuk tuk driver Asfaak who primarily works for the hotel was great. Very reasonably priced. Was a safe driver and a really nice guy.

The steps/ path to the room were very steep. At least 50 steps to get to the room we stayed in

This was the highlight of our 2 week trip around Sri Lanka. The staff were absolutely fantastic, very helpful and friendly and going out of their way to make your stay memorable. The vibe of the hotel is very peaceful, with only a handful of guests it means that you will always get a sun-bed by their pool overlooking the beautiful landscape and breakfast isn’t crowded. Although the location is a little outside of town 10/15 minutes by tuk tuk, we actually preferred it. It allowed us to escape the slight loud and chaotic town whenever we wanted. The hotel is located in such a beautiful hilltop.

The variety as breakfast to include more meat options could be improved. However, I understand with the low number of guests, increasing variety would also increase waste

The staff at the restaurant were truly lovely — always smiling, polite, and ready to help. Their friendliness really stood out and added warmth to the stay. Breakfast was very basic, with limited options, and unfortunately, dinner was disappointing — not tasty at all. The guy at reception was great — very helpful, even assisted me with a personal issue and gave good recommendations regarding other hotels. I really appreciated his support. However, the person who seemed to be the manager (or someone in charge) didn’t appear particularly welcoming or happy to see guests, which created a bit of a cold impression. Overall, the hotel is clean and decent. Nothing exceptional, but okay for a short stay.

This beautiful hotel is located outside of Ella right on a hillside and is the perfect accommodation for a trip there. We were greeted by the friendly manager as he showed us their wonderful hotel. The apartments were located up the hill and we also had a beautiful view from our bedroom. The view at the pool and the restaurant was stunning! The breakfast and the food at the restaurant was so delicious and freshly prepared by the friendly chef. The restaurant staff was so nice and helpful. Delina was our waiter and he shared a lot of valuable information on what to do around Ella. We did as he told us and it was so lovely. They also offer a tuk tuk service to several locations around Ella. Our tuk tuk driver Asfaak was so nice and always offered us to pick us up again. All in all: beautiful place, beautiful people and a great view!
