Opal privat nubian hotel

El sitio es precioso en frente del Río Nilo. Muy acogedor. El dueño del hotel ha sido muy servicial y simpatico con nosotros, nos ha tratado muy bien. Incluso nos prepararon una fiesta nubia por la noche donde estuvimos todos juntos bailando. Nos contrató un taxi de madrugada porque teniamos un vuelo a las 5 de la mañana y nos preparó una bolsita con croissants y agua para el camino. Ha sido una experiencia realmente increible. Did not like anything at all

Our stay at Opal Nubian Guest House in Aswan was extremely disappointing due to serious cleanliness and health concerns. After our first night, we found a live bed bug on the bed, and we documented everything with photos and videos. Even after reporting the issue, we were shocked to learn that the same infested room would still be given to other guests before proper pest control and disinfection were completed. Because of this unsafe and careless situation, we canceled our stay and moved to another hotel immediately. Based on our experience, I would not recommend anyone to stay at this place, as it does not meet basic cleanliness and hygiene standards.

Nothing at all

Unfortunately, our experience at this guest house was very unpleasant because of major cleanliness issues. After spending the first night, we discovered a live bed bug on the bed and immediately took photos and videos as proof. Although the staff moved us to another room, we were disappointed to know the affected room would still be used for new guests without proper treatment first. We no longer felt safe or comfortable staying there, so we canceled the rest of our reservation and moved to another hotel. I cannot recommend this place to others, especially for anyone who cares about hygiene and basic health standards.

L’accueil de Nasser était exceptionnel. La personne la plus serviable et sympathique que nous ayions rencontré en Égypte. Il se rend disponible et bienveillant. Félicitations au cuisinier également car nous avons mangé les trois jours sur place et c’était excellent. Nous avons également pris une chicha sur place.

Inicialmente nos costó decidirnos porque pensábamos que podríamos quedar muy aislados si nos quedábamos en la nubian village. Finalmente fuimos y la decisión fue más que acertada. La hostal está súper bien ubicada ya que no está ni en pleno centro de las tiendas (lo que puede ser algo agobiante), ni aislado completamente. Además tiene acceso directo al Nilo a través de la zona donde está ubicado el restaurant. Sobre este último, merece una valoración aparte ya que realmente ha sido de los mejores lugares que hemos comido en las 2 semanas que venimos viajando por Egipto. El personal, y en especial Nasser, fueron especialmente amables y serviciales para ayudarnos en todo.

El baño y las habitaciones en general no son muy espaciosas.

The property gave the Nubian experience. Good breakfast and accommodating staff.

Our room was not ready for the first night, so stayed in a very basic "outpost" room with a tiny bathroom. In fairness, the staff waived our dinner cost for the first night. The second night onwards were moved to the regular room that I had booked. The hotel amenities are average for the price in Egypt e.g. there was no soap in the bath, the bathroom was small with no separate shower area, there was no daily room service.

Disponibilité et accueil du personnel qui nous a aidé dans nos déplacements. La situation de l'hôtel dans un village nubien avec vue sur le Nil. Hôtel très coloré où on se sent bien et qui invite à la détente. Petit déjeuner copieux.

The staff are very helpful, polite and friendly. The restaurant is on the nile and the view from.the restaurant is just amazing. They would help you with anything. I needed to go the centre of Aswa. Twice and Nasser arranged a taxi to take me and bring me back for a reasonable price. The driver was also very friendly and helpful. The location is in Nubian Village near the shops and cafes/restaurant. The bed was comfortable and the AC was working. The room and bathroom was very clean.

I liked everything except the bathroom was a bit small and there wasn't a separate space for the shower.
