MYe Hotel

Located in the outer part of Muar town along a main bypass road within a vlock of commercial shops. A cafe (or club) is located on the ground floor. The building looks quite new. Overall, the hotel is generally clean (by local standard), tastefully decorated with simple but practical furnishing and facilities for the lobby. A single elevator serves the guests to the upper two floors. Generous space for the room with a large queen (or king) sized bed. Spartan furnishings but practical for short stays and the linens are generally in good clean condition despite being a bit worn off. All the basic amenities are in good working condition, silent and cooling air conditioning unit, kettle, cups and ingredients for coffee/tea making made available for free plus the basic toiletries are available in the generous sized bathroom. Good water pressure plus good supply (and control) of hot water via the taps. Enjoyed the hot shower after a long drive. Parking is off-street open parking and in a quiet area of town.

We got a "windowless" room, which was a bit of a surprise. Despite the size of the room, it felt a bit claustrophobic. The lights are quite limiting, i.e., only one main switch for all the lights in the room plus one of the bedside lights wasn't working. Noise from the neighbouring rooms, especially late at night when someone had a late check-in and generally lack of soundproofing between the rooms plus materials used for the cementboard walls and floors. And also noise from the neighbouring café late into the night. Let's just say my better half had an almost sleepless night. Being in a quiet neighbourhood also means that we have to drive out for our meals which for the locals a bit unusual.

The location is quiet and room is clean.
