Great place to stay! Traditional ‘proper’ pub, warm and comfortable and in a wonderful location. Big nicely cooked breakfast, staff are lovely and friendly. Plus some good ales. What more could you ask?

Very friendly staff who agreed to serve us an early breakfast at 715am. Great breakfast too

Front of the building is stunning, fantastic staff and their Breakfast is Bloody Delicious and cooked perfectly. I was in the front bedroom so looking out of the windows was stunning especially with the mist rising from the ground & the sun rising from behind the hill, perfect.

With being an old building floor are not level and they creek. Beds are quite high up I’m 6,3” and struggled to get on them so for a small person might struggle.

Central location. Suitable for walkers. Cheap. We skipped breakfast to get walking before the rain so can't comment on food. Lovely staff.

Shared toilet and shower with two other rooms. Rooms in pretty poor state.
