Halcyon Galle

The property has an old, cozy and homely charm. The location was secluded from the main city and we loved that it was tucked away. The pool area is especially beautiful, surrounded by a canopy of trees.

Noise from building works

We were so looked after here, they are wonderful and attentive. We liked that it was a little out of the way. All you can hear is the wildlife. We arranged for transport each night to go to Unawatuna, it isn't far. Our accommodation as we journeyed through Sri Lanka was to get more expensive, and we found this to be the best accommodation, of the whole trip..

This is a very special small hotel in a very peaceful area. The rooms are lovely, as is the garden and pool. The staff are charming and the food is excellent. We ate breakfast and dinner there.

Leaving the villa was hard as it's such a lovely place.

The owner, Naren, and his team were super; friendly, informative and welcoming. In between our sightseeing, we had great conversations with Naren about the history and culture of this beautiful country. The pool was magnificent as is the architecture and the style of the building. The chef and team ran a cookery course for us, which was brilliant. It was totally hands on and great fun. We made eight dishes then sat down to eat them. Thoroughly enjoyable. We had a fabulous stay.

Very nice property located a short ride outside of Galle. The staff were very kind and helpful and made every effort to look after us. The room was big, clean and well appointed with a great bathroom. Beautiful gardens and pool area. I’d definitely stay here again.
