Hotel Mayto

Hotel Mayto has a terrific location on a pristine beach about 2 1/2 hours drive south of Puerto Vallarta. The beautiful golden tan sand beach is about 150 feet wide from the hotel's loungers to the water and stretches for miles along this part of the central Mexican Pacific coast. The hotel registration staff was very accommodating with some last-minute room switching between my wife and I with another couple travelling with us. The four different breakfast choices we enjoyed at the hotel restaurant were all delicious.

Our ocean-front room in the hotel's original building and some outdoor amenities need a little maintenance work. The screen door in our sliding glass door was off its track and impossible to operate due to the upper track having broken away from the wall. Although the AC was operating, it was unresponsive to any adjustment with the remote control. We could not get any hot water from the sink faucet, but the shower did have hot water. Most of the pool and beach loungers had broken arm rests but all bottom and seat-back canvas was intact.

Not much maybe wood for fire pit but that’s a small issue overall just fabulous.

That we booked through you and are charged outrageous amount!! The price we were quoted was definitely not what we paid!! Why were we charged almost 1000 pesos extra??

Beautiful spot very tranquil and restful. Hotel room was a bit dated. Could use a few upgrades. Bathroom is very small.
