Willowbank Hotel

The Willowbank hotel is clean and comfortable. The staff are incredibly friendly and work hard to make guests feel welcome. The breakfast offering is excellent.

Breakfast was good. Location of hotel was on bus route, so it was handy if you did not want to walk.

Tv was too small in the bedroom. Towels were not fluffy and thick. Had to climb into the bath to shower no hand rail ,not suitable for older people.

Old-fashioned hotel, the bed was comfortable, the shower nice and the room was clean. Staff very friendly.

Basically no proper vegetarian option for breakfast (only porridge, toast, or the veg bits from the meat cooked breakfast). The hairdryer did not work. Quite expensive for what it offers.

Food very good and plentiful at breakfast and evening meals. Good location, bus stop outside hotel if you didn't fancy the walk to town. Staff friendly and helpful. Room spacious and spotless. Would definitely stay here again.

If there was anything it would be nit picking. So everything was as I would want in a hotel.

The breakfast was good although the choices were limited. The fact that each breakfast is cooked to order made me rate it good.

As I was paying £150 per night I would have expected more. The hotel was very dated and had I known of its condition I would certainly not have stayed there. The room was small and the en-suite facilities even worse. I think the TV was meant for a caravan as it was so small and not even a smart one. I paid £150 per night for four nights as I was in Largs for an event. I only stayed for three nights as there was no pleasure or comfort at the hotel. therefore the stay cost far more than it was worth. I know that this is only my experience, but from information from another guest (I think there were only 4/5 couples staying in a hotel with nearly fifty rooms) their experience was similar. Perhaps I should have read any reviews that were posted as this would have made me change my mind about staying there.

The only thing I like about there was the shower pressure

room was not up to standard and way overpriced. Spider in bedsheets? Poor value for money. Shower and bathroom was something out of the sixties in Blackpool. I have paid a lot less for bed and breakfast in many places and had more plush facilities. The owners need to have a serious look at upgrading the property or i am afraid to say it wont be there long.
