Villa Natali

When we left.

Oh so much! First, the location. The villa is near the lake, but in a very bad part of town. It takes half an hour on foot to get to the center through a rather suspicious looking neighbourhoods. Across the road there is some sort of trailer park, from which loud music and party can be heard until late at night. The room we were in... small, dirty, refrigerator in the room, poorly equipped. With wires sticking out of the floor. The bathroom is a special story. I don't know how this facility got a good rating for cleanliness. It was so dirty and moldy that we avoided using the bathroom at all. It was in a state of disintegration anyway. Everything seems to have been made hastily. The pictures cannot convey the true condition. Literally everything was dirty. And there is no cleaning during the stay. As for comfort, the pillow was thick, the bed short, but at least the mattress was comfortable. A special story is the staff/owners. Upon arrival, neither good morning nor smile, nothing. The "receptionist" talked to us as if we were a nuisance. Not kind at all. By the way, the reception was in a cafe that closed half Way trough our Stay. The only greeting we received was the day before we left - we had to pay. So not when we were checking out, but the day before we had to pay. Payment cannot be made by card, but only in cash. We didn't get the invoice because we can't - that's the explanation. We received some kind of paper, I don't know what it means. Besides, the most important thing. We paid for a standard room, 20 m2, which the description says has a double bed, a kitchen table and a lot more. We paid €198 for it. We got a small room, 15 m2, which had none of the above. Its price was €160. We received no explanation, no apology, no refund. My advice is tosvodi this place if you want to spend your vacation in peace and comfort.

Maintenance is sloppy. When I arrived the floor in the room was dirty and the toiletries bottles have been used before. They cleaned it afterwards, but the initial impression was not good.

Villa Natali was an excellent accommodation for me and my family. I have bad knees and requested lower floors accommodation and we received first floor rooms. The hosts were very friendly and made extra efforts for our vacation to be very satisfying and interesting. The villa is.on Lake Ohrid shore, 2 minutes walk to the waterfront. The rooms were large, the beds comfortable, good small fridge ang powerfull air conditioning. The host recommended 2 great restaurants where we had excellent meals. I must mention Restoran Stanice on 22 Budva street where we enjoyed an excellent chef, large portions and good service. We could also order takeout. We had good breakfast at the villa, food was fresh and tasty, the hosts made efforts to be as varied as possible. My wife enjoyed the coffee, although she is very choosy. The villa is 30 min walk to center town, but taxi was easier uphill to old town Upper Gate. We had free private parking and very good wi-fi internet. Last but not least, they have a natural spring, water bursts from underground that they share publicly and we had to queue sometime in order to refill our bottles.We will definitely come back to Villa Natali when we will be visiting Ohrid again.

Nothing to mention. It was perfect for me and my family.

The owners and the staff were friendly and helpful.

The apartment was clean, but rather dusty (I suppose the dust comes from burning firewood. One can smell the smoke in the morning.) I think the local population should invest in solar panels, which could provide hot water in summer and eliminate the need to burn wood in summer.

Working people is not around. Breakfast is not enough. Cleaning in breakfast room is not ok.
