Quick Stop Inn

To add to my previous post, I booked this property 6 months before my arrival, they let me down big time.

Booked this hotel 6 months before my arrival, but I did not get what I payed for, bad experience here.

Very clean, mattress and pillows very comfortable, really nice shower room, excellent view from rooms at back of property. Manager and staff very helpful. Tuktuk to/from railway station to hotel 300 rupees each way, plenty of tuktuks around at 5am. Lots of good places to eat all around, hotel has restuarant on top floor, open every day except Monday, good food and drinks. Hotel is called Kandy City Stay, even a tuktuk driver outside the hotel did not know Quick Stop Inn, but they know Kandy City Stay from railway station.

The hotel is called Hotel Kandy Stay and not Quick Stop Inn , If we hadn't done our research via reviews, we wouldn't have known this and none of the Tuk tuk drivers had heard of Quick Stop Inn. So it would have been difficult to find. Like many places in Sri Lanka, the hotel had seen better days. There was a lot of ground in dirt...not the cleaners fault as on the surface it was clean, but bed throws and cushions really needed a wash, the paint work a good scrub, and the bed linen had old stains There were many ants, we know they are difficult to deal with, we have had ant invasions in our home. But there were at least 3 different types which made for interesting storage choices!

Our room had a glass wall which was connected to the staircase of the building . In front was a curtain . Therefor a lot of noise . The window couldn’t open and had a curtain in front that also couldn’t open .

Great breakfast included in the stay. Rooftop breakfast and the cafe above the rooms.

While it’s called quick stop inn on booking.com it’s actually “Kandy City Stay” hotel. Confusing to find due to the name confusion. Very long check in process but once I was in very happy with the experience.

There was hair in their food and there were mice everywhere, there were cockroaches, the room looked clean but it wasn't, we couldn't sleep because of the mouse noises. The location and view were good but scary

Was super comfy room and the views form the restraunt and top balcony of the city was incredible! Good stay near train station

It’s not called quick stop inn, this needs to be updated! It’s kandy city stay so was walking around looking for it! Also was very hard to sleep as the monkeys were scratching on the roof which was so loud it sounded like they were in the room

Nice place. Friendly staff. Good food.
