Great historic hotel. Room was beautifully decorated for its era. So quirky and filled with history. Hostess was awesome.

"Don’t stay here, stop for coffee and then keep going"

Not much

Almost everything, the decor was eclectic lots of taxidermy and old fittings. The bin in our bedroom had not been emptied from the previous guests. There was old toothbrush in the shower, dead flies on the window sill, the sheets were questionable as to whether they were clean and the bed was uncomfortable.

"A must-see stopover that you won’t regret."

The decor was eclectic and highly entertaining. A real destination stopover with historic landmarks all around and incredible staff who make you feel so welcome. Food was excellent, especially west coast whitebait. A perfect stop for anyone curious about the old west coast or old school kiwiana. Choice stop.

Only stayed one night.
