Hôtel Sancta Maria

The location was great, right across from the beach. The rooms and bathrooms were clean. I liked the spiral staircase in the lobby. It was quiet.

The pool had very limited opening hours. We learned later that if you have more people who can swim, you can use the pool when you want.

Exceeded expectation! I stayed here for two nights during a work trip and was delighted by the helpful, polite, and efficient staff, wonderful room with an ocean view, good location and delicious breakfast. Happy surprises were that my room was upgraded for free to an ocean view and the bed was one of the most comfortable in which I have slept -- really exceptional! Breakfast was included with the price of the room and featured delicious fresh tropical fruit and good coffee with hot milk, which felt like a luxury! There is also a kettle in the room with tea and coffee, as well as free toiletries including toothbrush, toothpaste, comb, and other items that were all a welcome sight to tired eyes after a long flight! The hotel is in walking distance (20 minutes) to the cathedral, a beautiful neo-Gothic building designed and built by Germans over a century ago and recently restored -- the loveliest building in Togo! The hotel location is also convenient to restaurants on the beach, city transportation, and several Champion supermarkets. I will gladly stay here again and thank the staff for a wonderful stay!

The free WiFi was a little spotty during the day because they were hosting a conference, due to a higher than usual number of people using it -- but no big deal if one has a local SIM card, as I did for this visit!
