Location - although not the original room assigned to us, because the staff forgot we were bringing our dogs, the room catering for people with disabilities was very spacious

The fact that unbeknown to us, the property is NO LONGER DOG FRIENDLY due to new management.

Good location, nicely decorated rooms, good food (we booked in for an evening meal).

There wasn’t loads of parking and, even though there was an EV charger, it was just part of general parking so I couldn’t use it (even though no-one else was). Quite low beams in the bedrooms and both myself and my Dad banged our heads (my dad stayed in the Duff room and had quite a nasty gash from the beam above bathroom door when he went to the loo in the night). There should probably be a warning that some rooms may not be appropriate for taller people.

Overall we had a great stay at this property. All the staff are wonderful so helpful and pleasant.

On the fourth night of our stay the fire alarm was triggered twice. There appears to be no link to the fire service as no fire tenders attended the site on either occasion. Hotel guests eventually found the alarm system panel and managed to cancel the alarm. The fire alarm handling procedures, and response, need to be reviewed.

Stayed a few times before, rooms spotless, and comfortable.

Room situated in main house area, loud noise from bar/restaurant area that carries right upstairs. Had we know this would have booked rooms in stable area. Extremely noisy until after 11pm, then the noise of staff clearing/closing the area, doors banging, etc!!! We had travelled over 7 hours on Friday morning , and was looking forward to early night and peaceful environment, sadly not in this case.
