大浴場の着替え部屋の臭いが臭かった。

This location offers a great ski-in and ski-out option for winter (when the snow cooperates) coupled with a breakfast option that vacillates from typical western to Japanese fare. Additionally, dinner options vary from hotpot to okonomiyaki, sashimi, fried tofu, and fried chicken. There is an onsen to soak in after a day of skiing. They have really taken care of almost everything so you don’t need to leave except to ski. Do not be daunted by the location up the hill - once there, you’ll realize how great the location is (and how close it is to everything you need). The rooms are very clean, warm, and cozy. I would gladly stay there again. If you happen to have special snack or drink appetites, there is a small refrigerator to keep purchases cold (grocery store just down the hill).

I’m not a great fan of futons, but I could have alleviated my problem with futons by choosing to stay in a room with elevated beds.

Clean, comfortable, and full of Japanese charm—cold public comfort rooms, but a great stay and very near the ski slopes.
