Calet Hotel

The staff was really nice, especially the receptionist who helped us book a bunch of stuff including transfer! Also great location, right in the middle of Cat Ba city

Not the cleanest rooms, it was okay but could have been better.

A simple but clean hotel in a great location. Cat Ba is small, and this is in the middle of everything. The front desk will arrange trips/transport, but we did not use the service.

we had the breakfast only once. it was basically fried eggs and a little bit of fruit. could be improved upon.

Ling on reception was so very kind and welcoming. Very attentive too. Pure delight.

It would be good to have the lift reach level one.

Nice spacious and clean room. Cleaned daily. Hot water was plentiful. Drinking water provided. Beds were comfortable. Excellent location but quiet enough to sleep well. Friendly staff. The best two dogs!! They're really friendly. Breakfast provided.

A pipe in the bathroom kept leaking out. We figured it was from having the aircon on. We had to place a bottle under it to catch the water and keep emptying it. That was fine until it overflowed when we were sleeping and the bathroom floor would be soalked!

The room smelled like mold, got a new room that was better but also had a smell of mold. The sheets were really dirty with stains on them. Had to ask them to change sheets three times and still not clean. Would not recommend to stay here if you want a fresh and clean room.

no consistent hot water.

Breakfast was rudimentary but adequate, It improved over the three days I was there. The place is still recovering from the effects of Covid and it shows. Guest numbers vary erratically but the few staff seem to cope. Its well located just off the (non functioning) catamaran pier in the centre of the promenade, but not on the main street.

Drainage from the Air Conditioning onto the bathroom floor is not well thought out. It often leaves a puddle about where your feet and subsequently trousers will be when you sit down. Surely an alternative could have been found with a little more thought. Very noisy nighttime dogs resentful of early morning pedestrians.

holes in the sheets, mould on the ceiling, dirty bathroom, cockroaches in the hallways, not great communication with the staff. we booked this hotel as it had great reviews but struggle to see how.
