The breakfast was delicious and location is wonderful! Thanks for your hard work in this family business For next clients, it would be nice to provide the code for the breakfast so that we do not need to ring at the bell

"Although a short stay Foyers Roost would be a good base to explore this extraordinary area."

"Passable"

Good value for money for a summer booking in a popular location. Accomodation is surrounded by nature.

Our bed was made on the second day of our stay (which we weren't expecting in a small guest house) and our bottle of red wine was confiscated, to be returned on departure. While it is understandable that the owners ask that certain things are not consumed in the rooms, it felt invasive that something was taken from our room while we were out. The bathroom and shower were shared with two other rooms, which was not ideal and not made clear enough at the time of booking.

"Your guests are not animals; you can knock gently on the doors and inform them that checkout time has passed, especially"

4.0

The only thing I liked was the cat that came into the room as soon as we opened the window, which ironically they want to keep out with a sign warning about it.

It's so unpleasant to be kicked out of the hotel like animals. They're only interested in making sure the schedule works in their favor. When we arrived for check-in, we had to wait over 10 minutes, yelling, ringing the bell, looking for someone, making noise on the reception window. We even had to ring the bell at the other lodging that the staff also operates, until finally, a woman came out with headphones on. And still, we smiled and didn't mind waiting those extra 10 minutes. But when it came to checkout, because we were more than 10 minutes late, they came banging on the door without any warning, so hard it seemed like the door was going to fall down. Was it so hard to knock gently and respectfully?

Clean and cosy room. Great view of the loch ness.

Check in time is too late. The host should allow early check in or have reasonable check-in time. We had to check out from the previous hotel at 10am and couldn't check-in till 4:30pm because of the check in policy.

"Good value rooms, lovely location, shame we didn't feel welcome."

6.0

The view from our room over the Loch was lovely. Everywhere was clean and the bed linen and towels are of good quality. The food in the restaurant was tasty and well presented. There is a lovely outside terrace with great views.

We were a few minutes late going to the restaurant for dinner so 3 of us went ahead whilst the 4th attended to an urgent work matter. We were told off for being late and from then on treated very brusquely by the owners. This was a shame as it cast a shadow over our stay, and we decided not to stay for breakfast the next morning and move on to somewhere where we felt more welcome. We hadn't realised that the rooms we booked shared toilet & shower facilities as it is not clear on the advert on Booking.com. When we checked retrospectively, you have to click further through the advert to see this. We wrongly assumed, in this day and age, that all rooms are en-suite so this is something to be aware of and was a learning curve for us. Thankfully it was only for one night so it wasn't a big issue. I don't think this is the hotel's fault - just the way Booking.com works.
