Luhme Tulum Hostel - Free Cenote Access

Extremely dirty. When we arrived the staff was nowhere to be found. Later on an employ showed up but didn't speak any English. We requested to leave our luggage until check-in and they put it in really a dirty storage room, on the dusty floor among a bunch of random staff. The door didn't have any lock so we were warried about our valuables. The place looked abandoned neglected and very shabby. A few hours later, when we returned from the ruins, the staff was playing loud music, wandering around but they hadn't even started to clean our room even though we were the only visitors. Instead, they offered us to use the pool. At this point we decided we weren't spending another minute at this place. Grabbed our luggage and left.

Great and friendly staff! Clean and nice room. Small pool, but ok.

-Why I dont recommend this place, is that noise in the nights is HORRIBLE. Nothing you can do about it. So several nights I needed to use earplugs to sleep. - Also a little bit far from the center. - You need to pay for using bikes. - The shower/warm water not the best... - No free drinking water.

The rooms here are beautiful. Comfortable and stylishly designed. The hotel is quirky and looked like it was going to be a great place to stay. Great vibe and nice pool. This would have been a great place to stay if there weren’t cockroaches in the wall and the music wasn’t so loud.

Cockroaches in the walls. Super loud music all night. A huge cockroach came out whilst I was showering and went in a hole in the wall. The hotel played loud music until 2am and the place next door continued with loud bass until about 5am so we did not sleep well at all, even with ear plugs. This kept me up and I went to bathroom at 2am, turning on the light and discovering a fiesta of cockroaches, some in my toiletry bag, one dropped on me from the hand towel, 2 running across the bedroom. The music was loud enough to hide my screams! After discovering so many cockroaches in a small space we slept very badly, worried they would climb on our faces in the night. This disrupted our plans for the next day as we hardly rested and slept so little. There was no one to talk to at the hotel or check out with.

The staff were very helpful and nice

No hot water, the toilet was leaking, the noise from the bar was so loud you could feel the bed vibrate with every beat until 2am.

Right on the main strip, but the room is in the back and very quiet at night.

It looks like they could have loud music there but there was none when I was there.
