The Fountaine Inn

Everything about this Inn was exceptional ! Our room was just lovely and beautifully decorated. The staff was friendly and helpful. We ate breakfast and dinner there and they were both excellent. The village is charming and there are peaceful trails right from the village for a morning stroll. This was our favorite place to stay!

Nothing!

I stayed 2 nights in a room with *no opening windows*. The temperature was over 30°C the entire time, which is not only uncomfortable but genuinely unhealthy for sleeping. The only way to get any air was to leave the door open onto the road. As a female traveler alone, that was not a safe option for me overnight. There was a fan provided, but the noise made it impossible to sleep, and honestly when the air is already 30°C+ with no fresh air circulating, a fan does very little. Because of this I got virtually no sleep over two nights. I left very disappointed, extremely tired, and feeling unwell by the end of the stay. To have guest rooms that cannot be ventilated safely in extreme heat is unacceptable. I hope this is addressed urgently for future guests.

Let down by the restaurant

A lovely location on a village green. Beautiful, clean room- the studio. Very good evening meals, good beer in comfortable bar areas and excellent, friendly staff.

The room was small with an absence of bedside tables. Parking close to the hotel may be difficult if busy.

Beautiful location, comfy clean rooms although a little cramped once your baggage is in there. Good brekkie and nice staff.
