Just returned from a 2 night stay at The Edgewater! First arrival was so easy! Our room was ready much earlier than anticipated so we immediately went there after arriving in Avalon. It was a short walk and keyless entry. Upon entering the building, we were greeted by a very nice member of the housekeeping staff who helped us find our room and use the key pad to enter! We reserved an ocean front room (#1) and did not disappoint! The room was nicely updated with an enclosed sunroom with large windows that opened allowing us to look at the bay and people watch during the day and to listen to the waves at night! The building was incredibly quiet and perfectly located! Do keep in mind this is not a traditional hotel with a lobby, room service , restaurant, etc. However, with so much to do and eat in very close proximity “normal” hotel amenities were not missed. Definitely recommend and November is a great time to visit the island for less crowds (except for when a cruise ship comes in!). Thank you for a terrific stay!
