Cougar Ridge Resort

An amazing facility! A bit more costly than we had budgeted, but WELL WORTH it. A beautiful facility. Our two bedroom villa was outstanding!

My favorite part was the baby goats, but our room was perfect, very stylish. Loved the size of the refrigerator since we were road-tripping. The staff was very cheerful and helpful.

The breakfast was not great after all. Paper plates and plastic cutlery! Coffee machine wasn't working the one morning and there was no-ond around to assist. Not fun.

Cougar Ridge was incredible and unique. The instructions to find the ridge were quite long and a bit confusing at first, but after a couple of reads, we found it. The staff were really helpful and even gave us their phone number in case we ran into any issues, which was reassuring. We opted for one of the bigger rooms, and it was absolutely stunning. Honestly, we would have loved to stay for 2-3 days had our itinerary allowed, but it was a perfect spot for a quick stop. The room was fully kitted out with everything you’d need for a self-catered stay. Both the living area and the bedroom were well-presented, clean, and comfortable. The surroundings were lovely, and we enjoyed having breakfast on the balcony, overlooking the ranch and farm. The breakfast was generous, with a self-serve setup that was perfect for us. Everything was stocked up, and we even grabbed some snack bars to take with us for our walk through Capitol Reef that day. If you’re looking for somewhere to stay for Capitol Reef, I highly recommend Cougar Ridge.

Just one thing to note: the ROOM SPECIFIC photos on Booking.com urgently need updating. They don’t do the place justice at all — they only show a small part of the bedroom, but there’s so much more to it!

Location and well equipped villas with fabulous shower.

Breakfast was too casual. It would be nice to have tables and “to order” breakfasts.

Beautiful location. Attentive staff. Rustic but very upscale facilities. Only 1 night so didn't use all of them. It's a ranch.

Quality of Bed linens didn't match everything else. Rustic but upscale. EXCEPT THE BEDDING.

Room was extremely comfortable in ranch style with big wooden furniture. Great bathroom. Gym was incredibly well equipped plus pool and hot tub. Breakfast was self service but good choice.

Would love more of a Utah welcome... feels like the accommodation is just a business venture... would love more engagement by 'front of house staff' for example, telling us about all the facilities available (we found amenities by accident), food and drink options as well as info about the ranch.
