The bed was very comfortable and the Wheatsheaf is in a quiet area within a short walking distance from the train and bus station and the centre of town.

It was very hot when I stayed so air conditioning would have been nice but the fan provided kept me cool.

Excellent room. Excellent service. Excellent food.

The car park. I have a Ford Galaxy and it was very tight.

Really good location and the staff are very friendly. Rooms are comfy and clean.

It’s a bit pricy for the room and the food, you don’t get much for your money. The one big thing for me was the beer. It was awful. The beer had no body at all, it’s watered down, no head. I’ve had tribute and landlords before and the pint was special. But here they don’t know how to do beer. Shame.

This was a very comfortable, one-night stay. The room facilities and bathroom were very good and the bed was comfortable. The staff were welcoming. The breakfast was fairly basic, but adequate. It was a perfect venue for what I needed, a one-night stop a long way from home.

The breakfast could have been better, - fresh coffee, some cereals and toast - but probably not at this price.

All the staff were friendly, big shout out for Liv and Archie, plus staff member who helped us with parking (tall, slim, dark hair & glasses male) Great atmosphere.

Lack of hooks/hanging in the room as no drawers or proper wardrobe.
