Cosy room, good location and like the fact it has more character then staying in a normal hotel

Bed was comfy. The room was clean.

We waited a while to be checked in at the bar while the staff served drinks which was a bit awkward. The coffee from the bar was extremely poor quality. The food service in the evening was very slow. We waited a very long time to get the meals we ordered and the quality wasn’t great. The pub quiz going on was loud while we ate. The whole evening experience lacked any magic and we didn’t feel welcomed or particularly cared for. There was no personal approach at all.

Sadly after several stays prior we were turned away at 1015pm to have drinks (as residents) to which we complained was wrong as staff gave no honest answer why they shut the bar early Having been contacted by a manager we still had no apology or recompense and had to Pay to go out again to enjoy the evening with family elsewhere
