Standing Stones Lodge

It was a last minute decision to book for an overnight stay and such a pleasant surprise! Absolutely loved the location, 15 mins drive from the city centre but high in the mountains! Was so quiet and peaceful. The staff as well were so friendly and lovely, good fun and very helpful! The breakfast in the morning was very tasty and just what we needed too, thank you! We'll definitely give ye a shout next time we're in Belfast.

The only thing I would suggest is the rooms need a bit of an update (little splash of new paint) but that's only superficial, we were very happy overall with the quality and comfort.

We booked a pod accommodation. It was a fantastic little space with all necessary features and an amazing view. A full breakfast was included. The restaurant is very nicely designed and elegant. The staff was welcoming, helpful and kind. Overall a very good experience. I will definitely come back to this accommodation.

A little missing detail in the pod: there were no hooks or railings for towels in the bathroom nor in the room. I would prefer to have porcelain or glass cups for hot beverages instead of paper disposable cups in the room. It would be nice to have bottles of water in the room.

Nothing really

A great location, very rural and peaceful, with great walks on hand. This stay was on a Monday night in July,and the restaurant was closed - however the guy on duty was able to offer pizzas - and they were good. Worth checking on restaurant opening times in advance - to be fair, the restaurant opening times are on the website - we'd just assumed dinner would be available 7 days a week. But can't stress enough that the staff were great, and we'd stay again very happily.

Breakfast was good, and the location is excellent. Very rural and quiet, yet only just over 15 mintues from the centre of Belfast.

Worth checking about meal times in advance. We arrived at about 5.45 to discover the kitchen was closing at 6. The staff were excellent, and the food very good - but worth checking.

dirt came out of the drain while showering. shower plug/drain was covered in hair. description said a hairdryer would be provided but management said there weren’t any and had to eat dinner in the restaurant with wet hair. piña colada cocktail tasted off/rotten, when i complained i was told by a manager that ‘the cocktails come pre made so there’s nothing wrong with it’. will definitely not be back and would advise anyone else to avoid.
