The location was good was nice and quiet in the evenings. Felt safe and comfortable

The restaurant below didn't have much choice for someone who can't eat dairy. The water pressure in the shower wasn't very good

The close location to the station, easy commute to the principality stadium

Excellent location for walking to the sea front. Lovely period room very clean and warm. We were offered Breakfast which sounded very nice but as it was a set English breakfast it was fine for me but not for my wife as she likes a continental breakfast.

Breakfast was set full English fine for me but not my wife who likes a continental breakfast so we had to find another place for breakfast.

Very close to Railway station and short walk to Pier to pick up Steamer trips Stayed here last year. Convenient location

The owner phoned me on the morning of my stay to ask what time I was checking in, to make sure someone was around, You get a key for the side door so can come and go when you like. I like this hotel (have stayed before), it is quite traditional and old fashioned, in a nice way, and at a fair price in my opinion. 3 minutes walk from Penarth railway station. I had a quiet room overlooking trees. Breakfast is 08h30 to 09h30 so could be a bit earlier really, it is optional and I had to leave before it started.

The TV in the room did not work at all, the breakfast (additional charge) was not value for money

Breakfast was good once it arrived. Good location.

Room was up 3 flights of steep stairs. Difficult when carrying a case. It was an attic room and so had to be careful not to bump my head on the low ceiling. The wash basin was in a dark corner with a low ceiling so I could not stand up straight. The light above the wash basin did not work. The shower pressure was non existent and the shower temperature was very cold, apart from a very brief moment when it became boiling hot. Service to take breakfast order was slow.

This is a beautiful hotel with a very spacious and comfortable room. The bar area is lovely and the food in the restaurant was excellent. Would highly recommend.
