The Oruro Inn

It’s right next to the bus station (5min walk) in case you need to catch an early bus next morning. The rooms are comfortable and nice hot water from the shower. Also a very complex breakfast which is fair for what you pay.

Not in the city center but you can catch the public van for 1,5Bob to the center or a taxi (around 10bob)

The hotel is situated in a rubbish dump. There is nothing nearby except bus station.

Lovely comfortable sunny room which was warm overnight (very end of May). Hot hot hot water for shower and basin. Great to have secure off-road parking. Good breakfast to set you up for the day. Staff were lovely, gave us helpful advice for our onward travels, and filling our flask so that we could have hot drinks. Location is good, just a block from the new bus station, lots of local food options. Road wasn't paved but compacted and absolutely fine. Only issue for us was the altitude combined with no lift! Just take it slowly! If you need help, ask the staff. 🙂

It is right by the bus terminal where we arrived, the building itself is in good condition. The reception at night was kind. Breakfast included.

When we checked out and had to pay the guy behind reception kept playing some phone game instead of tending to giving my mom here change. It was a bit weird. And good to know; while the hotel itself is in great condition the road to the hotel is not paved so that doesnt help with suitcases on wheels. Also there is no elevator and we initially had a room on the 4th floor. I opted for leaving my heavy suitcase downstairs with reception as only stayed one night.

Clean hotel, but did not like the location. on the edge of town, rubbish everywhere and didn’t feel safe.

I thought the hotel was nice on the inside and clean.

The only downside is that it was kind of far from the main city for the time that we went to see Carnival. It is right next to the new bus terminal so that may even things out!
