Kings Palace

We wanted a budget hotel close to the airport as we had to be at the airport by 5am and Kings Palace was just right for that. Staff were very helpful organising transfer to and from the airport and advice on navigating the city. The hotel is a 5 minute walk from The Hilton were we went for dinner - they provide an excellent international buffet for £23 per person. Expensive for India - very reasonable for UK!

The location was convenient, but the approach road was dirty with puddles of water.

Surroundings were very dirty, room itself was passable, staff were courteous.

Location is near to the metro station and bus station if you travelling to Pondicherry. Nuebus stop is 5 min walking from this property.

Bit noisy in the night due to construction near by

Fantastic location for Ekatuthangal Bus Stop and for the airport. The staff were very helpful in answering my questions before I arrived and were very welcoming on arrival. The room was comfortable and had a kettle, tea and coffee and hot water. The air conditioning worked well. Everything needed for an overnight stop en route to the airport.

I only stayed for one night prior to catching a flight so did not explore the local area.

The location was excellent for us, as it is really close to our office in Chennai. The staff was really nice and always ready to help. The room was quite comfortable (including the bed and pillows) and had most of the things we needed. We were given bottled water and fresh towels every day, which was really nice. The street where the hotel is located doesn't look as good, but it is safe and really close to other shops and restaurants.

I was missing two things - a mini fridge (but we managed without it anyway) and a shelf in the bathroom where we could put our stuff. The rest was really good, no other complaints.
