Comfortable room and good spa facilities - uncrowded

Restaurant service was very slow

The location and surroundings were really nice . Clean.

When we booked our stay, our booking was for bed and breakfast ,which we paid at the time of booking then to be charged extra for our breakfast when we checked out, being told that we only paid for a “light breakfast”. It’s not the fact that a little more clarity upon booking wouldn’t go amiss, it was the attitude of the receptionist, who made me feel stupid. Also, as there wasn’t any heating or hot water in our room on the Easter Sunday of our stay, maybe a good will gesture would have been appropriate.

The room was comfortable, however it wasn’t the twin we booked so myself and my teenage son had to share a double. The facilities were clean and working. The young man who served us at dinner was very friendly and helpful and despite the wait for food he made up for it by his kindness and chat.

The pool area and facilities were extremely cold as was the pool. The receptionist was rude on arrival. The breakfast wasn’t up to much despite paying extra for it and then extra again for an upgrade. I had stayed previously for my hen do in 2019 and it had definitely gone down hill. They had tried to make the food a little more upmarket and ended up overshooting themselves.

There were very few people dining, which made it rather soulless. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful

Pillows are very hard. We booked a room with a bath, and we ended up with a shower. They did apologise and gave us Prosecco, but we'd much rather have had the room we booked. It all looks a little tired and lacking in people - more suited to functions perhaps.

Lovely location

It’s was cold asked for the heating to be put on and they said it was coming on soon … spa was also cold and pool ..no gowns or slippers
