Beautiful hotel lovely location

Nothing I didn’t like , the only issue we had was a broken water boiler which meant we had no hot water. But the staff were really lovely and very apologetic

A terrific country house hotel in an excellent location to spend a few days exploring the wonderful City of York. The hotel is just outside York but with a frequent bus service right outside to the City Centre, thus avoiding the hassle and expense of parking in York, it worked really well for us. The staff and the breakfast were excellent.

I would normally expect a hotel of this quality to provide a fridge in the room and the WiFi is in need of an upgrade from somebody who understands the challenges of providing WiFi in a historic building with thick walls. But these minor Issues did not detract from the enjoyment of Our stay.

Great location,nice grounds,couldn't fault the staff nothing was a problem Rooms were nice and clean you have to appreciate that it's an old building. We had a comfortable relaxing stay

The spa was a little tired and steam rooms weren't working properly The girls didn't like the showers as they were not adjustable and no conditioner. Not enough plugs in room

Excellent breakfast and great facilities in the spa.

Great location, we stayed a very comfortable 2 bedroom unit in the cottage. The Fat Abbot restaurant has a lovely menu and nice feel about it.
