Bathroom inside the room (a scam) pictures show a whole other different thing… sucks! Really ugly bathroom and shower.

The location is amazing. I had a room with a private balcony and seats looking out over the bay. The pool is nice. You can also swim in the bay accessible from the hotel and there is a dock, The bird watching was wonderful. It was close walking distance to town with sidewalks. Breakfast was good and included. The people in this small town were very friendly. There was a cool sea shell display in the lobby.

The restaurant only serves breakfast and I would have bought more meals and drinks but the town was very close to walk to get anything I needed. Golfito doesn't have as many visitors as it deserves for the stunning natural beauty of this place. I couldn't go on the whale watching tour I had booked because I was alone and there wasn't anyone else signed up.But the organizers helped connect me to other options. I ended up with someone through "Golfito Free Tours" and a friendly young local helped me find a water taxi and guided me on a hike through a wildlife preserve for free. What a wonderful place! Nothing to complain about. Even the taxi drivers are super friendly.
