Fabulous food, attentive and friendly service, character, charm and a beautiful location. We loved our stay here. Special thanks to Marta and Marita who were super helpful and friendly.

Lack of tea, milk for coffee, or water in the room (though water was given when we asked for it).

The restaurant is excellent but there is a pre-set menu each night and no other dining options.

The signal the satellite TV was out during out stay.

Too high price compared to all other locations we've been to in Norway, also offering similar or better facilities. The cleanliness in the room (particularly the ground floors moquette) was below par, I could see dust and particles on the moquette. :-( In terms of style, the hotel rooms floor feels a bit standardized/ lacking design and a personal touch. I advise the owners to replace the dark brown moquette in the rooms/corridor with a light color parquet to make everything look cleaner, brighter, and more welcoming/, and connected with the nature around. Also consider switching up some of the arts in the rooms corridor so that not all paintings look the same/ so standardized. The dinner dessert quality and presentation could be improved. The chocolate tartelette did not taste much ( i was expecting more after a great entry and main). Overall Jondal is good to drive and see the nature around, but there is nothing to do in town. It would have been nice if the hotel rented e-bikes or kayaks as part of the price we paid, to explore the surroundings a little bit.
