Hardanger House

Hardanger House is an exceptional place. Everything was extraordinary, great attention to details. The food was the best that I've ever had in Norway! They have an excellent chef, great wine and whiskey choices. Friendly and genuinely sincere staff. Top notch, HIGHLY recommended.

It’s a very small boutique style hotel with only 9 rooms. The room was very comfortable with a nice terrace and a fabulous view on the fjord. Also it’s quite new and modern.

The breakfast could have been better - with this small boutique hotel, it could have been an a la carte breakfast with eggs or fresh waffles/ crepes made to the request of the guests.

The hotel was well designed and rooms very comfortable. Great location for catching the ferry in the morning.

We booked as it was clear wellness was a key feature with sauna and gym but the Sauna let cold air in and was disappointing in overall surrounding compared with rest of the hotel. The small details were missing - cups in the bathroom to brush your teeth, we had to search for extra towels for the sauna and ask for robes. Breakfast was basic for the cost of what we paid and forced to have three courses down in the meeting room as the venue upstairs was booked. The meeting room had very little ambience for then paying for a three course meal that lacked finesse (Salmon undercooked etc). This should have been discounted as it was not the real experience we paid for. No view in the room for dinner.

Oda the GM of the facilities was outstanding. I had a flat tire on my way to the hotel....she offered to come pick me up. That is above and beyond great customer service. Food was made fresh and to our orders Location was fabulous...highly recommend. Right on Hardasherfjord. Room had a patio door that overlooked the fjord. Amazing views!!! I would definitely recommend....and will plan on returning

It was hard to regulate the temp in the room. I would set it...and the next thing I know it is back to some pre-set temp. So, room as too hot for me. I ended up sleeping with the patio door open.
