Fantastic rural location, beautifully appointed, with a Michelin starred restaurant on site.

The hotel was clean and dinner was delicious. For dinner we ordered 1 starter and 1 main course, but they brought extra starters so we ate a lot :) We stayed in a separated tiny house. They only have air condition in the rooms, first we felt cold but after some time, we were ok.

Because of the air condition, it was cold at the beginning and you cannot open the windows because the temperature of the room will drop immediately. And there is only one garbage can with a bag in the room, it was not enough for us.

Immediate feeling of relaxation and quality on arrival. Fantastic scenery. Friendly attentive staff. Feel good factor 10/10 Wonderful fresh and varied breakfast selection. Lovely ambience to pool area. A lot of thought has gone into making your stay a calm and relaxing one. We will recommend.

We would have loved to have an evening meal because the whole experience from the view into the kitchen and the wonderful menu would have been a wonderful treat, but the price was way beyond what we were prepared to pay.

The food was good and the location was lovely.Pierre on reception was outstanding could do enough. The Sommelier and the Waitress from Mumbai, were also fantastic.

The whole place is tired as are many of the staff. The Maitre D was unfriendly to us we had a glass of wine which was oxidised and he reluctantly changed it even though it was obvious even to him. The art is awful and clutters the place up. The English breakfast waitress was unhelpful and very grumpy! The breakfast was poor, not enough choice no hot option, also poor bread choices and the room was way too small!

Mme Paris is very hospitable and welcoming and is a wonderful cook; table d'hote dinner is traditional french cooking which includes (unusually for France!) imaginative and delicious vegetarian dishes when requested. Breakfasts are equally excellent; everything is fresh and includes homemade jams. Le Pont Romain is in a beautiful situation on the river Huisne, it is not a 'posh' or flashy establishment but provides an exceptional experience of country France that is difficult to find.
