"Not bad but probably will not stay at this property again"

Surrounding neighborhood had many street dogs running around. A lady in our group was bitten by one of these dogs. Never saw a person at the hotel office (I say "our" because there were two offices and ours was rarely staffed).

Pool area was like an oasis. Full kitchen plus BBQ allowed cooking early morning breakfast and occational meals. Did not have to go out for every meal, could chill and relax after diving.

"20th Great Stay! We’ll be back!"

10.0

If you want the “Cabo” experience in Loreto, you should stay with Cabo. The Cocos Cabanas (CC) is a great stay if you’re looking for value, informal setting, and the Baja (not Cabo) experience. Beach hotels are notorious for imperfect stays because of high customer turnover, staffing issues, etc, but mainly logistic challenges. Many things you need/want are, at best, a 10 hour round trip to La Paz. So to enjoy Loreto is to remember “you’re not in Cabo!”. At CC, the owner lives on site& and is always available. The new Manager is great and answered every question we had, ordered our taxis, arranged for our laundry service, promptly got our WiFi fixed, and provided us with a list of recommended restaurants at check-in. oh! The maid service was outstanding, and we always had a hot shower! There’s a 100ft unpaved road from the CC to the paved & sidewalked “calle Davis” (David Street) which is a 10 minute walk to the Marina or 15minutes to the central Town Plaza. Yes, there’s always things to fix, like in every Beach town Hotel I’ve ever stayed in. We stayed in Cambria, CA in 2017, in a $200 a night (plus $40 in local taxes) hotel on Moonstruck Rd with the Highway at our back window and the parking lot out the front door. You had to choose between running the AC or the TV! Not both! You had to drive your car into town just to eat, so just remember where you are or go to Cabo! I’ve stayed at several other hotels here and always went back to the CC, but I’m not here to be waited on or lay by the pool with a Margarita. I want a reasonably good bed, a refrigerator for my beer y fish, friendly “neighbors”, and mingle with the locals! CC fills that ticket !!
